Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th, 1967. She belongs to the fourth generation of Robertses that reside in the Atlanta area beginning by her grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father was interested in theatre at an early stage. As a student of Emory University, he performed in a variety of productions in Atlanta. When he joined in 1953 the Air force, he appeared alongside Betty Lou Bredemus in Biloxi. In 1955, the couple married and in 1956 their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter as well as his spouse left the Air Force in the year 1957 after which they began enrolment with Walter in Tulane University. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of the show Bum Bum and His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning local television show for kids known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture they self-financed. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted 6 years. In 1965, they welcomed two new children: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
