Rauw Alejandro

Raul Alejandro Ruiz Ocasio-Ruiz born on 10 January 1993, is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter. He is known as "the King of Modern Reggaeton"[2][3] and belongs to "the new generation of Puerto Rican urban artists. His first studio album Afrodisiaco was released in November 2020. Vice Versa the second album of his studio, was released in June 2021. It featured the title track "Todo de Ti". He's won two Latin Grammy Awards from twelve nominations. Raul Alejandro Olasio-Ruiz was conceived in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on the 10th January 1993. His family was raised in Carolina and Canovanas. [4][5] His father Raul Ocasio Ruiz was a musician and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz was his vocalist backing. They introduced him to the music of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. In the past, for a long time, Alejandro and his father resided in the continental United States, mainly Miami and New York City, where he was influenced by the R&B and dancehall genres. Alejandro and Anuel who was a fellow Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood pals. They both attended the same school and shared classes. When they were children, Alejandro competed in school talent shows due to an interest in dancing. He went to the University of Puerto Rico after graduation from high school. He was a soccer player between six and twenty. But he eventually quit because he was unable to perform as expected. In order to be scouted by the Premier Development League (PDL) the player moved to Orlando, Florida. Rauw Alejandro's style of music includes Latin R&B, reggaeton, ballads, and rhythmic pop. Billboard stated that his music has "set his music apart" from the growing band of Reggaetoneros with a pop-leaning. Presley and Jackson were influential early on.
